William Pickard, P.E., Ph.D

Dr. Pickard received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Harvard University. For most of his career he has been a professor in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. His research has included: high voltage engineering, electrobiology, and the biological effects of electromagnetic fields. His present focus is Massive Electricity Storage because the sustainability of an industrial civilization depends upon reliable dispatchable electricity, even though the major renewable sources are intermittent.
